1. Installing the app

Good Morning! is distributed through the App Store. To install:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store.
  2. Search for Good Morning! by SpeckTech Inc.
  3. Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple Account password.
Good Morning! is an iMessage app. It does not appear as a regular icon on your Home Screen — that's by design. It runs inside the Messages app instead.

2. Finding it inside Messages

This is the step most users miss the first time. Here's exactly where to look:

  1. Open the Messages app.
  2. Open any conversation (or start a new one).
  3. Tap the + (plus) button to the left of the iMessage text field. A menu appears with options like Camera, Photos, Stickers, Apple Cash, Audio, and others.
  4. Scroll the menu down. iMessage apps appear below the built-in options. You may need to drag the menu up to see the rest of the list.
  5. Tap Good Morning! when you see it.
  6. Good Morning! opens in an expanded view with selectors for language, greeting, and backgrounds. See section 4 for how to compose your first greeting.
The first time you install an iMessage app, iOS may not show it immediately in this list. If it's missing, see the next section.

3. Enabling Good Morning! in iMessage Apps

If Good Morning! does not appear in the + menu, you need to enable it manually:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Messages.
  3. Tap iMessage Apps.
  4. Find Good Morning! in the list and turn the toggle on.
  5. Return to Messages. Good Morning! will now appear in the + menu and in the Edit list for the iMessage app drawer.

4. Sending your first greeting

  1. Open Good Morning! from a Messages conversation (see section 2).
  2. Choose a language from the row of flag pills at the top.
  3. Pick a time of day using the four icons (sunrise, sun, sunset, moon) — Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, or Good Night.
  4. Pick a background from the packs. Locked packs show a small lock icon; unlocked packs let you tap a thumbnail to choose it.
  5. Use the vertical slider on the right of the preview to move the text up or down on the image.
  6. Tap Stage Sticker. Good Morning! closes and your greeting appears in your message input field.
  7. Tap the blue send arrow in Messages to send it.
For your safety, no app — including Good Morning! — can send messages on your behalf. You always tap the send arrow yourself.

5. Custom Text and translation (optional in-app purchase)

Once you unlock Custom Text & Extra Greetings:

You can type in any language Apple Translation supports — for example, type in English and select Japanese to have your message rendered in Japanese.

The first time you use a new language pair, iOS may ask you to download a translation model. This is a one-time download from Apple. After that, translations happen instantly and entirely on your device.
Apple's Translation framework needs enough text to auto-detect which language you're typing. If you type just a couple of letters (for example, "Mo") or hit Return on an empty field, you may see an error dialog saying the source language can't be determined. Type a few more letters and try again.

6. Background packs and purchases

Good Morning! starts free with a starter set of sunset backgrounds. You can unlock additional packs, one at a time, for a small fee per pack:

To buy a pack: open Good Morning!, tap the locked pack thumbnail (or the lock icon next to Custom Text), and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple Account password.

7. Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app, switch to a new device, or just want to refresh your unlocked packs:

  1. Open Good Morning! inside Messages.
  2. Tap any locked pack to open the Store sheet.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Restore Purchases.

As long as you're signed into the same Apple Account that made the purchase, your packs will be restored at no cost. Family Sharing is supported.

8. Languages supported

Good Morning! ships pre-written greetings in these languages:

If your Custom Text is purchased, you can also type in any language Apple's Translation framework supports and have it rendered in one of the 14 above.

9. Troubleshooting

I don't see Good Morning! in the + menu, even after installing.

iOS does not always enable newly installed iMessage apps automatically. Follow the steps in section 3 to turn it on under Settings → Messages → iMessage Apps. After enabling, scroll the + menu in any conversation to find it.

I tapped Stage Sticker, but my message field is empty.

Make sure you have at least one background and a greeting selected, then try again. If you typed a Custom Text message, also confirm you saw the translated text appear in the preview before tapping Stage Sticker. If staging still fails, reopen Good Morning! and try a different background.

My custom text isn't being translated.

Apple's Translation framework downloads a language model the first time you use a new language pair, which requires an internet connection. Make sure you're online when you first try a new language, and tap Allow if iOS prompts you to download the model. After the model is downloaded, translation works offline.

I purchased a pack but it appears locked.

Open the Store inside Good Morning! and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the page. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. If the issue persists, try signing out of the App Store in Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases, then signing back in.

Can I send a Good Morning! sticker to someone whose messages appear in green bubbles?

Yes. As long as you're on an iPhone, you can compose a Good Morning! greeting and send it to any contact — including one without an Apple device. The image is delivered as a regular MMS attachment in that case. The Stage Sticker flow works the same way.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not SpeckTech. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the Good Morning! purchase, and follow the prompts.
